For information on all your questions regarding coverage under the

Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), please feel free to contact

our office or simply click on the FDIC logo.

On October 3, 2008, FDIC deposit insurance increased from

$100,000 to $250,000 per depositor.

United Community Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program (TAGP). Under that program, through December 31, 2009, all non interest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the TAGP is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rates. Any checking account earning more than 0.50% does not qualify for the TAGP. Also, a checking account that has a sweep relationship (to a money market account) attached to it will void the FDIC guarantee that provides for unlimited insurance.
